Fanny packs, sometimes referred to as lumbar packs, are convenient for just about every situation imaginable. Whether on a short hike through the woods or a brief stroll through the mall, fanny packs are a great place to store keys, cash, snack food, a water bottle, a cell phone, and emergency items.
Fanny packs are by design fairly small in size - usually no larger than 500 to 1000 cubic inches. They can be used for dayhikes or for strictly urban applications as well. Be sure to consider how you will be using your daypack before you make a purchase, as this will impact the size you need.
