Let’s take a look at some excellent options for store bought foods that are great for storage and for backpacking, camping, or just as a supplement in your survival backpack. I will also show you my method for creating a self contained meal. This video is part 2 of 2.

    Just a thought, it might not be a bad idea to seal in the cooking instructions with some of the foods that you’ve removed from the original packaging, for instance, so that you know how much water to add.

    Absolutely brilliant! I bought a food sealer after watching this and have been loving it ever since. There are endless cobinations of pre-packaged foods that can be combined to make meals that are easy, fun, and good-tasting.

    Great video…. some good ideas too.
    One thing I might suggest is a piece of paper telling you what it is and how much water to use yadda yadda… this way you could make some up in advance, store them and pull them out as needed.
    Also… in a pinch, you could use the paper to start a fire or something.

    just wanted to give you one thought… when we vac seal stuff… i take a little extra plastic and double seal both ends… more of a just in case…

    its funny my dad bought a foodsaver 4-5 years ago and he used it once when he came back from fishing and then we just stowed it in the closet. but now i have reason to use it :P great vids man!!
