English Translation DON’T KNOW Composed by Louie Ocampo Lyrics by Winnie Arrieta Sung by Apo Hiking Society I don’t know why you are like that You’re so hard to talk and always ignoring me Don’t you realize that I am really hurt inside But never mind it’s time for you to know CHORUS: I love you, I love you This is not a joke Hope you smile even just a bit I am now in heaven I love you, I love you This is not a joke Please answer, not this word, don’t know I hope you refrain Saying don’t know and what kind of fib is that Why is it like that, the bachelor doesn’t know That I don’t know is like the answer of yes he has been waiting for. (Repeat Chorus) la, la, la, la, …. (Repeat Chorus and repeat last line of Chorus twice) Traduction Française NE SAIS PAS Composé par Louie Ocampo Paroles de Winnie Arrieta Chanté par Apo Hiking Society Je ne sais pas pourquoi vous êtes comme ça Tu es tellement difficile de parler et toujours en ignorant Ne savez-vous pas que je suis vraiment fait mal intérieur Mais qu’importe, il est temps pour vous de savoir CHORUS: Je t’aime, je t’aime, je t’aime, je t’aime Ce n’est pas une blague J’espère que vous sourire, même juste un peu Je suis maintenant dans le ciel Je t’aime, je t’aime, je t’aime, je t’aime Ce n’est pas une blague

Sobrang sarap pakinggan tong kanta na to! Nawawala mga problema ko sa kanta na to eh. The best to di katulad ng mga kanta ngayon na halos hindi mo na maintindihan ung lyrics.

During the 70s they call it MANILA SOUND until Danny Javier thought of the term OPM (Original Pilipino Music). We put it in our records and it caught on with everybody.

I remember when this song was new & popular,.. i was 13 yrs old & one of my friends kept on singing it the whole night!.. it was funny but it sure brings back sweet memories!… *sigh*

  25. quixxxilver says:

A big amen to that. No offense, but the translations (here and in similar uploads) don’t convey the poetry and elegance of the lyrics. They actually would make you think the opposite – that the songs are bad – if you didn’t know Tagalog.
