www.survivalistboards.com www.maxpedition.com This is a review of the VULTURE-II backpack from Maxpedition. In this video we take the Vulture II on a short hiking trip to see how well it carries and what all can fit into the pack. This backpack is supposed to have a capacity of 2810 cubic inches, and has 3 compartments – 1 main compartment, and 2 outer compartments. The material is made out of 1000 Denier, which is supposed to be water and abrasion resistant. hippie doodie grab handle! sweet
If are going to attach a sleeping bag to the bottom of the bag you should put the sleep bag there
i love this pack. one design flaw i noticed was when hiking long distances with it though is the water in the bladder warming up from being so close to your body. did you have this problem?
@XCritonX I second the external frame pack made by maxpedition. Only problem with them would be finding them in stock!
The only thing I don’t like about the Maxpedition packs and similar is the flat back. A contoured back that keeps the air circulating helps me to not be so sweaty in 40ºc weather. I wish Maxpedition made a 5000ci external frame pack. I would buy that in a heart beat.
Great Review video,Thanks!
wipe your butt with pision ivy!!!! lol
thats horrible!!!
I have a Falcon 2, not the vulture. The Falcon is more of a day pack, as my Kelty will take me out for a few days like the Vulture. I may not have made that clear enough in my post.
So…..wait…you own a Vulture II….yet would purchase one if you didn’t already have a Kelty…which is it?
But then where would you put a sleeping bag?
A bible? for fire making? good job!
Where’s the sleeping bag? And cloths? 3 days with no change of cloths or bag to sleep in. That’s roughing it
Thanks Kev!
Great video
sweet sunglasses
I think this is why he only packed a 3 day pack… and still had tons of room in the bag. I dont think hes camping to demonstrate TEOTWAWKI but I have the thought that he is well prepared for it!
you could have saved alot of room by attaching your tent to the external compression straps on the bottom great vid
I love these packs. I went to Montana and camped up on top of Castle Butte with a good friend of mine. He was making fun of my falcon 2 with my zippers. Long story short, the day we left his wife was asking the brand of my pack because he liked it and his birthday was coming up. Funny how you get addicted to these packs. If I didn’t have a barely used Kelty, I’d be picking this reviewed pack up fast.
in all your many videos you have never preached to us!! i wan’t to thank you for that!!! most of you viewers i think have the same opinion of our government but religion is a very divisive topic!! when most people pull out their bible they tend to wave it around!! i really respect you for not doing that!!!!! great video as always!!
I think we would have taken PB&J and saved the MRE’s for TEOTWAWKI.
how in the heck are you affording pack after pack? I sure hope they are giving you these, cause if not, I bet Kristy is bout to kill u!
TJ is a funny guy
most of the ones you can get online are cheap knock offs of very poor quality
Thanks for taking the time to review this pack. Great stuff!
i know thats why most go cheap and get an alice pack. got me a medium alice with frame, straps, and kidney pad belt for 17 bucks. works both on the trail and in the wallet.
If the opening for the hydration tube to come out of has a little Cord hoop on it, why don’t you hang your Hydration Reservoir of it? Well, if its a Camel Back you can ‘cos they have a hook on them
Yeah, I’ve calmed down a bit now and I’ve been thinking about it, I am buying a Fallkniven F1 soon, and it’s around £100, and my parents didn’t want me to get one solely on the fact that its “£100 for one Knife!!!” And my argument was that “I’m going to make it last years of hard-use, and it will out-live its price tag” and I suppose that would be the case when investing the money in a pack like this. Also, I found it for just over £120 as well, so that’s good, I might get it for xmas
