My backpacking gear setup
![]() |
Figured I’d do a short vlog of all the backpacking gear I plan on bringing on my trip to Moab. Pack weight without food, water and clothes (very minimal) is 13lbs. Forgot to mention in the video that the Duct Tape plus a few cotton balls doubles as my first aid kit. List of gear in the video: Osprey Talon 44 Pack Sea To Summit Pocket Trowel SeamGrip Pad Repair Kit MSR Pack Towel Snow Peak Titan 700 Snow Peak LiteMax Titanium Stove Snow Peak Titanium Spork ThermaRest Compressible Pillow (S) ThermaRest ProLite Sleeping Pad (S) Sierra Designs Arrow Rock +15 (R) Sea To Summit eVent Compression Dry Sack (M) Big Agnes Seedhouse SL1 Osprey UL Rain Cover (M) Enjoy!

Something i’ve come accustomed to doing for the duct tape, i wrapping it round a steel/aluminium water bottle, like the sigg ones? you can buy, something i would rather do to wrapping it round a pen, but still, very useful video man!
firs aid kit??
why is all your shit brand name? seriously, how much money do you have? i have a brand name pack, pad, tend and a few odds and ends…. off brand stuff works just? as fine i promise
Jet boil crunch it? thats a waste of? space and weight along with a bunch of other gear you showed, that trowel is huge, for a water filter you should have gone with a sawyer and a camelbak, and use it as a gravity filter. Love your cook kit though. For pillow just stuff clothes in your sleeping bag compression sack. I know Im being critical here, youve got a bunch of great gear and Im jealous, enjoyed the video. Thank you.
WOW! Wish i? had your budget for gear!
i’m? new to hiking, looking around for tips on packing materials. really liked the vid bro, thanks a lot.
just bought MSR pocket rocket love iit but why do u think urs is better? than the? MSR? BTW nice vid ty good job. karen

@FEROClOUS
It’s? brand new, he must be new to backpacking. Nice stuff though!
Great pack and lots of good video… well? done!
nice pack, your ready to go bro.. see you? in the wilderness
Awesome video. I’ve been hiking? the local trails, few miles at a time for a long while now. Just bought my first pack / tent / sleeping bag. Your video gives some excellent direction on where to go next!
what about? fire
Great setup you got? there!
You? spent a tidy sum on all that, nice stuff.
watch out for the brain eating parasites in warm? water, three people are already dead two kids and an adult man.
@niVedoo 16 pounds, not? including food or water
Hey how much does your pack weigh everything but? food/water
Really nice gears? but why everything seems unused and new?
My brother traveled for years around the world and he didn’t had the half of what you have.
He still had fun. Just saying.
@afplyr05 Thanks for the reply! The eVent stuff sack is size Medium. For my sleeping bag, I probably could? have gotten a small instead, and still been fine.
Nice vid bro, thanks for sharing. What size event sack is? that btw? Thanks!
Good job. I? wasn’t trying to be a wise ass I was just saying thats all. I have so much gear and nobody to go backpacking with . All my butt hole friends want to do is play golf. No adventurers anymore.
@russelltrang I have all of this stuff, I just didn’t include it in the video. For first aid I bring a few cotton balls (those plus duck tape make a good bandage) and a couple pills of imodium and ibuprofin. As for the other stuff, I bring 2 bic lighters sealed in plastic bags, a Black Diamond headlamp, my knife is the Kershaw 1570ST. The down bag? was in the compression sack just to show how it fit in my pack. I store it in the cotton bag that it came with.
@jessy126540 the pillow is a Small.?
