@dockilat I don’t know about origins. I live buy a guy who builds 1911s for a living and they’re pretty good guns. I’m pretty sure the design will give you more than expected? no matter who produces it – when it comes down to the 1911, I say, get the one you want… because the gun’s a legend.
I have always wanted a 1911 and in Fact I just picked up that exact model yesterday I can’t wait to get it out? on the range.

i have the same? exact 1911. but i put on Hogue Rubber Grip w/ Finger Grooves.. ive had it for 5 years with no problems at all. i love it.
@1337Leva They’re harder to find but I have one from this company in 9mm, I’ve had it a year and it works amazing I shoot in competitions and that’s what I use and I’ve never had it malfunction ever but the factory? magazine sucks but very accurate. Just search rock island arms 1911 and a couple come up.
do? colt 1911 only come in .45??? i would love one in 9mm
@CajCoo Any sights for a 1911 (novak, three dot) should fit fine, but may require? some filing. I have the nickel version of this gun and had to file a tiny bit down.

@blitzkrieg459 Sorry for the error man, I just found out earlier today that RIA started making blued models not too long ago. They’re not as common as the? other models, you might want to check it out too. Hopefully this hopes. =)

@ultrabeastmode Well to be honest they are both good pistols. The Regent is made in turkey, and is pretty much 100 percent true to the gi models that the US army had in WW2. While the RIA is pretty much standard gi besides a? few touches. You can’t go wrong with either one.
@blitzkrieg459 thanks yeah i checked that out and was also looking at the Umarex regent 100. I heard that there great quality as well.? Now im completely confused on which one i want. Im still leaning towards this RIA gi or the umarex regent 100?
@ultrabeastmode I don’t think they make one in a blued finish. If you want something in a blued finish, I think you should check out the IAC Regent 1911. Its in the same price range as the RIA’s, and they are as true to the GI models as you can get.?

I’m surprised you had such good luck with it. Mine jams like a sonofabitch. I had to dremmel the feed ramp and barrel throat to get it to be a little more reliable. Still, I probably get a malfunction? on every clip.
I like RIA but do you know if they carry a 1911 in a blue finish? I gonna get one? but i just dont care for the parkerized finsh. Im trying to decide between the classic gi or the tactical model with the skeletonized trigger and hammer?
how much should that exact one cost new compared to used. im talking the basic? model. only reason i ask is because i was holding it in my hand yesterday and the sticker price was 320$ used. but i said no. i know the price ranges but im talking about the ria 1911
@dockilat the 1911 was made in the US by Mr. Browning, lots of people copy it, like people in the? philippines.
Would it be good to get a Springfield armory for the railing and put a lazer on it? I also want to put a 3x? scope on it, but Idk about that.
